WinFix claims to repair computer system problems. However, this is not true because any computer that got infected by this software will have problems such as slow performance. When you're browsing the Internet, a pop-up will always come out saying your computer are infected with spyware and adware and when you click the pop-up, it will shows you a false diagnostic log and make you believe that you have spyware and adware in your computer.


So, how you can remove this WinFix pop-up? Using these 9 steps, you can remove the WinFix pop-up for free.


1. Download and run Spybot Search & Destroy. For those who don't know where to download this software, search in Google.


2. Download and run Ad-Aware SE Personal.


3. Download and run Windows Defender Free Version.


4. After that, go to start -> run -> type msconfig and disable everything in startup except your anti-virus.


5. Then, download Msconfig Cleaner and run it. Uncheck everything that need to be uncheck after you run the cleaner.


6. Delete your temporary files using CCleaner.


7. Restart your computer and run it in safe mode (Press F8 when your computer reboot) and scan your computer again using your anti-virus and the three software (Spybot Search & Destroy, Ad-Aware,Windows Defender) in safe mode.


8. Use other Internet browser such as Firefox or Opera. Internet Explorer is more vulnerable compared to Firefox and Opera. Using Internet Explorer will increase your risk of getting infected.


9. If you cannot clean the WinFix after doing all the above steps, run HijackThis and ask experts to read the log.


Remember to update all the spyware scanners on regular basis and always scan your computer at least once a week.
