'I don’t care and I am not not going down without a fight' - James exclaimed as he took his last shot. 'The bad news is; you are still going down' - Mathew remarked with a cheeky smile as he scored his winning goal.
The prophecy did come true and 5 minutes later, James was handing over his new 2007 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Convertible. They were both right. James put up a fight alright! but he still went down.
Why? Well, it all started 20 minutes earlier. James is a renown and arrogant Surgeon while Mathew is a professional ball player. They both lived two houses apart from each other and often met for a ball game at their local basketball court.
The challenge: On that same sunny sunday afternoon, while Mathew and James were having a friendly game in the park, Mathew’s new girl friend dropped by and decided to watch them play. James was overwhelmed and full of lust as the drop dead gorgeous, blue eyed latino beauty sat down with her legs crossed. 'I bet James can beat you today. you didn’t sleep through the night and I know you haven’t had breakfast because I didn’t make you some” Stacy giggled as she made her daring remarks to Mathew. Both men overtaken by their ego, made a bet with their new Aston Martin Vantage and the game began.
The victory: I guess what happened next was obvious. It does not matter how tired and worn out a person is, a talent is a formidable weapon against another. Mathew was a talented baller and James a talented surgeon. It was not a fair game but James took up the challenge regardless. He lost because he was out of his area of strength. Learn from him don’t be him.
